The Nalanda College Astronomy announced the inauguration of the “NCA School of Astronomy”, with the Patronage of Prof. Padmajeewa Ganepola and Prof. Chandana Jayarathna, with the blessings of the ministry of education, on 21st of February 2013.

Nalanda College Astronomical Society, A leading astronomical society in Sri Lanka venturing their journey for 18 years, along with the Old Nalandians’ Astronomical Society is presenting a new experience for the Sri Lankan School Students which named as NCA Astronomy School. This Astronomy School holds a one year free course in Astronomy which basically targets the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad competition where many students all around the globe meets to test their Astronomy knowledge at its best.
